What the Executive Brief Kit is, what it isn't, and what you should check before using it in a regulated context.
Not professional advice
Nothing in the Kit, in its output, or on this site constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. The Kit is an executive operating tool. Where the data raises a regulated question, surface it to a qualified adviser and follow your firm's compliance process.
How the Kit interacts with your data
The Kit itself does not access any data. It is templates and an installable Claude skill
(SKILL.md). When you install the skill in your own Claude environment and
connect your own Microsoft 365, the skill instructs Claude to read information your
permissions already grant: emails, calendar, SharePoint, OneDrive.
Microsoft 365 data processed through Claude runs on Anthropic's servers. Anthropic's data handling and retention policies apply to that processing. We have no visibility into the content of your briefs.
Regulated industries
If you operate in financial services, legal, healthcare, or another regulated sector, get internal data-governance sign-off before installing the Kit. This typically means a short review by your CIO, Legal, or Risk function covering:
- Whether your firm permits Anthropic (Claude) as a processor of work data.
- Whether the M365 connector falls within your data-protection impact assessment (DPIA) or equivalent.
- Whether you need a separate licence for individual seats or a tenanted setup.
Output review
The brief is generated by an AI system. It can omit, mis-summarise, or mis-prioritise. Always review the brief against the underlying emails, calendar entries, and files before acting on it.
No affiliation
DayBriefAI is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation or Anthropic PBC. "Microsoft 365" is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation; "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic PBC.
